Governance
Governance
The Dairy Futures CRC is an unincorporated joint venture that is managed by Dairy Futures Limited (DFL), a public company limited by guarantee.
The Board of Directors of DFL provide governance of the CRC. The Board has six non-executive directors who were selected for the skill sets they contribute and the CEO as an executive director. The majority of non-executive directors have had some experience or exposure to the dairy industry.
The Governing Board has adopted the Governance Principles as drafted by the Australian Stock Exchange and amended in the CRC guidelines (see www.crc.gov.au).
The desired skills and experience of the Governing Board were agreed by a Board Selection Committee and initial directors were selected by the committee on that basis. Board review and renewal will occur on an annual basis with director elections first commencing at the annual general meeting in 2011.
